Venue

Registration, poster and spoken sessions are located at De Krook (entrance at -1 floor: Platteberg 11, 9000 Gent), or can be done virtually. All rooms in De Krook are wheelchair accessible.

How to get there

We highly recommend to be aware of your impact on the environment and to take your carbon footprint into account. If possible, please select the most environmental-friendly option to travel to Ghent: train, car pooling or bus.

If you take a plane to Zaventem Brussels Airport, you can take the train to Ghent afterwards. The train station is just below the airport and it takes less than 1 hour to get to Ghent. If you take a plane to Charleroi Airport, we recommend a shuttle bus . It takes about 1h 20 minutes to get to Ghent.
The city of Ghent boasts the largest pedestrianized zone of Belgium. Most venues, hotels, restaurants & shops are within walking distance from one another. You can easily get around by foot, or you could choose to rent a bike! 

Covid regulations

It is not required to wear a mask during the conference, but you are free to do so. We ask everyone to be respectful of personal preference. Experiencing symptoms? Accommodation

If possible, please aim at selecting an accommodation with low estimated carbon footprint.

Ghent offers a wide range of hotels, hostels, B&B’s. Here is a small selection of places to stay (in different price ranges) within walking distance of the venue:

Ghent

Since 2009 Ghent is included by UNESCO in its Creative Cities Network, and in 2030 the city will be the European Capital of Culture. The music scene is varied and particularly known for its jazz scene worldwide. De Krook is situated in the middle of it all – with De Vooruit and De Minard (two large cultural venues) – right around the corner!
